1. Who we are

These Terms & Conditions govern the services provided by AssignWise ("we", "us", "our"), trading at assignwise.co.uk. By placing an order or using this website, you agree to these terms.

2. Our services

AssignWise provides academic editing, proofreading, draft feedback, referencing support, research guidance and writing coaching (together, the "Services"). All Services are educational support services:

• We edit, review and comment on work that you have written.
• We do not write, complete or produce academic work for submission, and we do not take exams, attend classes or participate in assessments on your behalf.
• All materials, feedback and guidance are provided for reference and educational purposes only.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of our Services complies with your institution's academic conduct policies. See our Academic Integrity Policy.

3. Orders and quotes

• Every order begins with a free, no-obligation quote based on word count, service level and turnaround time.
• A quote is valid for 7 days from issue. Work begins only after you accept the quote and payment (or agreed deposit) is received.
• You are responsible for providing accurate information (word count, deadline, level, referencing style). Material inaccuracies may require a revised quote.

4. Payment

• Prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) and are fixed once confirmed in writing.
• Payment is taken via our payment provider; we do not store card details.
• For large orders (e.g. full theses), a staged payment schedule may be agreed in writing.

5. Delivery and turnaround

• Delivery times are confirmed in your quote and counted from receipt of both payment and all required materials.
• On-time guarantee: if we miss the confirmed delivery time for reasons within our control, the order is free of charge.
• Delivery is made by email (or a secure download link) to the address provided at order.

6. Revisions

• Every order includes one free revision round within 7 days of delivery, covering anything in the original brief that was missed or not addressed to a reasonable standard.
• Revisions do not cover new requirements, additional word count, or changes to the brief made after the order was accepted; these are quoted separately.

7. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation and refund rights are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use our Services to:

• Submit work produced wholly or substantially by a third party as your own (contract cheating);
• Infringe copyright, or send us material you have no right to use;
• Engage in any unlawful, misleading or academically dishonest activity.

We may refuse or cancel any order that, in our reasonable judgement, requests work that would breach academic integrity rules. See Section 2 and our Academic Integrity Policy.

9. Intellectual property and confidentiality

• You retain full ownership of your documents at all times. We claim no rights over your work.
• Your documents are handled in confidence, visible only to your assigned editor(s), and deleted from our systems 30 days after delivery, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• We never share, publish, reuse or resell client work.

10. Liability

• We will provide the Services with reasonable skill and care. We do not guarantee any particular grade or academic outcome; assessment decisions rest solely with your institution.
• Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
• Subject to the above, our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount paid for that order.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of marks, opportunities or income.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when your order is accepted applies to that order. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
