Academic Integrity Policy

1. Our position

AssignWise exists to help students become better writers of their own work, not to produce work for them. We provide editing, proofreading, draft feedback, referencing support, research guidance and writing coaching. We do not write, complete or produce academic work for submission. Ever. This is not a disclaimer; it is the foundation of the business.

2. Why it matters

• Contract cheating (submitting work written wholly or substantially by someone else) is serious academic misconduct at every UK university, and can lead to failing marks, suspension or expulsion.
• Services that offer to write assignments put their customers' degrees at risk. We want no part of that, and neither should you.
• Legitimate support, of the kind university writing centres themselves provide, improves both your work and your skills without putting anything at risk.

3. What we will do

• Edit and proofread your draft, correcting grammar, punctuation, syntax, tone and clarity, with every change visible in tracked changes for you to accept or reject.
• Review and give feedback on drafts against your assignment brief and marking rubric, identifying what earns marks and what loses them.
• Check and correct referencing: citations, footnotes and bibliographies in Harvard, APA, MLA, Chicago, OSCOLA and other styles.
• Guide research and structure: helping you organise sources, spot gaps in the literature and plan your argument.
• Coach your writing: one-to-one sessions that build lasting skills in argument, critical analysis and academic style.

4. What we will not do

• Write assignments, essays, dissertations, exam answers or any part of them for submission.
• Rewrite your work so extensively that it is no longer yours.
• Complete quizzes, take exams, or participate in assessed activities on your behalf.
• Fabricate data, sources or citations.
• Help disguise plagiarism or evade academic misconduct detection.

Any order requesting the above will be declined or cancelled (with a full refund of undelivered work, per our Refund Policy), and our editors are instructed to flag and stop any order that drifts across this line.

5. Your responsibilities

• Check your institution's academic conduct regulations; most explicitly permit editing and proofreading of your own work, but policies vary and some require you to declare assistance.
• Review every tracked change and suggestion before accepting it. The final document must represent your own ideas and decisions.
• Use our feedback and coaching to develop your own skills; that is what it is for.

6. How our process protects you

• All editing is returned with tracked changes, so every alteration is visible and reversible; the document stays yours.
• Feedback explains reasoning, so you learn rather than copy.
• Your work is never shared, reused or resold, and is deleted 30 days after delivery (see our Privacy Policy).
